This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQs, or formative assessment in the following ways . . .
When the teacher has curriculum framing questions it helps guide students in the direction that the teacher wants them to go with that lesson. It also helps the teacher to stay focused and organized on the specific topic of the lesson.
There are many different ways to assess students. Informal assessments can be very useful and do not put as much pressure on students as a "test" would, but the students are still learning and successful.

I think we can all agree that using CFQs and the formative assessments helps us to stay focused on what the objectives we want the students learn.
ReplyDeleteWe agreed that these practices help with focus and organization. I also like your comments about the brochure in the first reflection.
ReplyDeleteI agree the CFQ's help the students and the teacher stay focused and organized. The same with the informal assessments, for those students that have 'test anxiety' assessing how much and what they have learned is easier this way.
